Kitchen and Bath Industry Show: The Highlights

Our team recently traveled to Florida to attend KBIS, a premier industry event showcasing the newest innovations in kitchen and bath design.  It's always an exciting opportunity for us to stay at the forefront of design and bring fresh ideas, materials, and trends back to our clients.

Did You Know We Are a Dealer?

As a FreePower dealer, it was exciting to see their newest advancements up close at KBIS this year. For those unfamiliar, FreePower is a wireless charging system built directly into countertops, creating a completely hidden and clutter-free way to power devices. Their latest technology improves both speed and precision, making it more practical than ever for everyday use. Seeing them recognized again at KBIS reinforces how seamlessly integrated technology is shaping the future of kitchen and home design.

We also had the opportunity to connect with Fabuwood at KBIS this year, where they unveiled several new cabinet styles and finishes. Known for offering quality cabinetry with a wide range of design options, Fabuwood continues to evolve with current trends. We were especially excited to see richer, more saturated tones, like maroon, making their way into the lineup, adding a bold yet refined option for clients looking to bring more depth and personality into their spaces.

New Tech

One of the most exciting parts of KBIS this year was seeing how quickly technology is evolving within the design and construction industry. We saw innovations that not only elevate the look of a space, but also improve how it functions day to day.

A standout was the new JennAir downdraft induction cooktops, which feature a built-in ventilation system. By integrating the vent directly into the cooktop, it eliminates the need for a traditional range hood, opening up more flexibility in kitchen layouts and allowing for cleaner sightlines, especially in open-concept spaces.

Beyond the kitchen, it was fascinating to see how technology is shaping the future of construction itself. Coral’s concrete 3D printing process for building homes is pushing boundaries in how structures can be created more efficiently and with greater design flexibility.

We also explored new advancements in design visualization, including virtual reality integration within Chief Architect. This is something we’re especially excited about incorporating into our process, as it allows clients to step into and experience their space before construction even begins, bringing a whole new level of clarity and confidence to the design phase.

Pop of Color

It was truly stunning to see the vibrant range of colors and finishes showcased throughout the show. From bold, expressive palettes to rich natural materials and textures, designers are embracing color in more intentional and dynamic ways than ever before.

Appliances also took center stage, with striking refrigerators, ranges, and statement hoods seamlessly blending performance with design, proving that functional elements can be just as visually impactful as the surrounding space.

Wellness as Design

Wellness seems to be a major influence in design trends, with features like cold plunges and home saunas bringing spa-like experiences into the home. At the same time, smart technology is evolving, with innovations such as smart toilets that can track health indicators, including aspects of gut health. Together, these elements reflect a shift toward spaces that prioritize both comfort and overall well-being.

Frank Lloyd Wright Collection

We were especially inspired by a stunning new collection from Brizo, the Frank Lloyd Wright Collection, created in collaboration with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. Drawing from his iconic design principles, the collection beautifully blends architectural form with modern functionality, resulting in a bath line that feels both timeless and fresh. It was a true highlight to see such a thoughtful fusion of heritage and innovation brought to life.

The Best of the Bathtubs

One of the most fun trends we spotted was the incredible range of bathtubs, freestanding tubs were everywhere, and for good reason. From sleek and simple to bold sculptural pieces, there truly seemed to be a tub for every style, including circular designs, spa-jet options, and eye-catching two-toned finishes that bring a pop of personality. Color took center stage too, with everything from soft, calming tones to rich, statement shades.

As a dealer of Native Trails, we especially loved their stunning green freestanding tub, it perfectly captured the blend of natural beauty and standout design that made this category such a highlight. It’s clear that tubs are no longer just functional pieces, but a true focal point that can define the entire feel of a space.

Lasting Impact

All in all, KBIS was an inspiring experience that gave us the opportunity to reconnect with some of our favorite brands while also discovering exciting new ones. We enjoyed exploring the latest innovations, materials, and design trends shaping the industry, and seeing firsthand how creativity and technology continue to evolve. Most importantly, we’re excited to bring these fresh ideas and insights back into our own design process, allowing us to better serve our clients with thoughtful, forward-thinking solutions.
