Recently, our team had the profound privilege of stepping out of our day-to-day routine to give back to an incredible local cause right here in Stark County. We teamed up with Chasing Hope House, a wonderful nonprofit dedicated to supporting teens and young adults who are navigating foster care, housing instability, and the crucial transition to independence.
When we heard they were working hard to get a foster house fully ready for a group of young girls to move in, we knew we wanted to roll up our sleeves and help them cross the finish line. We dedicated our crew members and spent time on-site donating our labor, installation skills, and styling touches to turn the house into a welcoming home.

Meeting Youth Exactly Where They Are
What makes Chasing Hope House so special is their holistic, deeply empathetic approach. They specifically serve youth ages 14–19, including those currently in foster care, youth at risk of homelessness, and young parents under the age of 19.

Through a powerful combination of residential and non-residential supports, they focus on meeting these youth exactly where they are. Their approach centers on:
Life Skills Development: Teaching the practical essentials of adulthood.
Education Support & Mentorship: Providing guidance and accountability during critical years of growth.
Access to Essential Resources: Ensuring no young person has to navigate these tough transitions alone.
Ultimately, they aren't just providing temporary shelter, they are helping local youth build the stability, confidence, and long-term self-sufficiency they need to thrive.

The Project: Crafting Comfort from the Ground Up
A house becomes a home through its details. For young girls navigating tough transitions, moving into a space that feels fresh, clean, and intentionally designed can make a world of difference in their mental well-being and sense of belonging. We were excited to have the opportunity to help with some flooring installation and fun finishes in this house.

Our crew was happy to step in and donate our time and expertise to get the flooring installed in their high-traffic areas.
Safety and comfort go hand-in-hand. Our company purchased and installed new, plush carpeting for the stairs to ensure a warm and safe transition between floors. As well as some accent wallpaper to add some fun features to their spaces.

To pull the whole look together and make it truly special for the girls, we went shopping for decor to bring warmth and personality to the space. Our team was able to purchase, assemble, hang, and style a variety of items, including contemporary wall art, fresh bath mats, shower curtains, and even makeup vanities for them!

It Takes a Village
We loved seeing this cause in our local community and seeing community members contribute to it, like Miller’s Home Furnishings with their generous donation to help furnish the house.

Watching the rooms evolve, from bare subfloors to a beautifully finished, fully styled home ready for move-in day, was incredibly rewarding.
We want to extend a massive thank you to our hardworking crew who brought their best craftsmanship to this project, and an even bigger thank you to Chasing Hope House for allowing us to be a part of their journey.
